May/June Empties and Half-ways

Here are my half-used and empty skin care items:

I loved the celestial moisturiser - hydrating, natural and great for a smooth, hydrated, non-greasy finish. Also fantastic for sensitive skin and helped to clear up my skin after a brief period of eczema during the Winter. The Body Shop face mask has lasted so long but honestly has transformed my skin. You apply it to wet skin, massaging as you go, and it'll dry into a mask. Then you wet it again so you can lightly scrub it away. The honey moisturises your skin and the little oats help to exfoliate. It's gentle enough that I used it everyday! I apply before my morning shower and rinse it off during the shower.
The Soap and Glory scrub was part of their gift set (the one with the big travel bag?) and it was nice to use before and after shaving my legs. Nice fruity smell, but was a little to harsh for my skin.

Boots Botanics day cream, night cream and hydrating eye cream.

As my Celestial moisturiser is now finished, I turned my attention back to the Boots Botanics range. I have been using the eye cream and night cream for a while, so they are "half-way's", however I have just started to use the day cream. The night cream is rich, as is the eye cream, but the day cream looks very milky. All of them apply very smoothly, and I would definitely recommend giving them a try. I have also tried the wipes and I really liked those too.
NB: I used to use the Vitamin E day cream from the Body Shop - a nice creamy and cooling cream!

Another half-way is the Lush charity pot hand and body lotion - where the money goes to the charity of your choice (you choose the charity by selecting a pot with the charity advertised on the packaging). It's a nice and milky cream with a chocolate scent! However, it can be quite greasy, but not bad for around £6.

Other half-ways include the Balance Me congested skin serum (my favourite blemish treatment ever!) and the MeMeMe hand and nail cream (bought as a set) - luxuriously scented, creamy and hydrating (a little greasy but not too bad). Also, the tester kit from Dr Manuka which I loved! The pack contained tubes of their Manuka honey day cream, face mask and serum. Loved these, but I am experimenting with too many other skincare items for me to invest heavily in buying their products yet - but definitely would recommend (these were both quite pricey). After that there is the Body Shop shea butter body butter and the Soap and Glory 3 in 1 Peaches and Clean cleanser. As Khila from Miss Budget Beauty has also said, the cleanser doesn't do much as a wash, however as a mask you can feel it working - it tingles a little! I agree with this completely, because as a "pore unclogger" it's not very effective unless you leave it on and not immediately rinse it off. I like to use this in the evening as a second cleanser after my Garnier Micellar water, or when I am suffering from blemishes. The body butter is a staple item - no complaints! I definitely want to try all of the different flavours though :)

Continuining on (boy there's a lot!) I am half-way/almost finished with the Lanolips lip ointment (in Rhubarb), which I have been using as a kind of lip mask before bed. It's super hydrating, has a nice pink pigment and is softly scented. It is quite hard to squeeze out of the packaging, as it's not very viscous, but I simply squeeze some onto my finger and rub it over my lips. It's not sticky at all either!

The Body Shop's Peppermint foot cream - love! Soothes instantly, and great for sore and tired feet that have been walking around shopping centres all day :P
It's a thick pink cream which blends out to soothe, moisturise and calm inflammed and sore feet. I'm half-way through this and would purchase again.

I've almost finished the Nivea Pearl and Beauty anti-persperant, but have to say I'm glad! It flakes off like anything and leaves really bad white stains on my clothes. It smells nice, but unfortunately won't be re-purchasing this again.

Lastly, the Sanctuary Spa 5 day moisture creamy body oil. What can I say, but I've left the best for last! It's amazing! A cream which blends out into a oil. I love my essential oils, and I appreciate how good oils are for your skin, especially when you suffer from dry skin. This lasts so long, and I use it straight after the shower on slightly damp skin. I wouldn't say the moisture lasts for 5 days, but I enjoy apply it over and over again so I don't mind! Would definitely recommend trying this- it's lovely! x
